Currently, I'm working on a jacket pattern for the Fall issue of Wild Fibers magazine in organic Black Welsh Mountain yarn from Garthenor Organic Pure Wool.  As A Fine Fleece readers know, I have a fondness for this breed since it's one of the first I had the privilege to spin.  Imagine my joy when I was referred to Garthenor for the Wild Fibers project and saw their astounding array of rare breed naturally processed yarns from sheep that are organically raised.

For those who don't have the time or inclination to spin, or don't have access to these glorious sheep breeds, this is the place to go.  They carry yarns from sheep breeds I thought I would never see.  The yarns range from fine Shetland laceweight, all the way up to Super Chunky.  Aran knitters--there is a wonderful group of aran weight yarns to spice up your cables.  A sample card of all the yarns is available as well so you can see and feel for yourself how amazing organic rare breed yarns really are.

If you do spin, there is a lovely selection of raw and carded fleece and also a page with photos and details of the breeds they offer.

PayPal is available for payment and shipping from the UK is faster than some domestic US shipping times.  Even with the current exchange rate, these yarns are a true bargain.    Chris and Sally King are wonderful to deal with.  You can be sure I will be ordering a lot of yarn here!
